Preparedness information is available in many places. From the user’s perspective, however, it can be scattered, difficult to find or too general. During a disruption, the network may be unavailable, so important information should also be accessible offline.

ValmiusTurva aims to bring important information into one place and make it practical. The app can combine general preparedness guidance with local information, such as services, assembly points, shelters and other places that matter to the user.

The goal is not to increase the amount of information, but to make the right information easier to find and use — even when the internet is unavailable.

ValmiusTurva is being developed in stages together with users and partners. Testing, feedback and practical experience help us assess which features are useful and how the app can be improved.

Offline functionality is an important part of development. We want to ensure that guidance, maps and other essential information saved in the app remain available without a network connection. At the same time, we are developing ways to update content and keep it current when a connection is available.

Together with municipalities and cities, ValmiusTurva can be developed for local use. Local guidance, contact details and map locations can be brought together in an agreed package, with content maintained according to jointly agreed responsibilities.
